Designed as a system of wings centered on open courtyards, the structure utilizes ample natural daylight and encourages community interaction. The two-level high school houses up to 950 students and include classrooms and laboratories, administrative areas, gymnasiums and locker rooms, performing and visual arts facilities, and a food-court style cafeteria. The campus also includes a football stadium, baseball and softball fields, a football stadium, and field house.

After the school was completed, the Davis team worked with the Jefferson County Board of Education to renovate the previous school into the Burkett Center, a unique special education facility for Jefferson County.
