Trussville Civic Center
City of Trussville
Designed alongside the new Hewitt-Trussville High School, the new civic center was a huge boon for the growing Trussville community. The 67,500 sf facility was designed to accommodate large community events with an auditorium and exhibition hall that seat 1,000. It's supported by a full-sized kitchen and six meeting rooms, each with the technology needed to support a variety of uses.
The fitness center includes a weight training room, a cardio and fitness room, a spin room, and locker rooms. Above the two court gymnasium, an indoor track allows allows runners and walkers alike to beat the summer heat or the cold winter. The Davis team designed this flexible, one-story structure, to complement the adjacent award-winning high school.
In 2014, the Davis team was brought back on to study the possibility of adding a new outdoor pool complex. The future facility was designed to include an 8-lane competition pool, splash park, covered dining and concessions, and ample lounge spaces.
